Dr Dipesh Vasant
Consultant Gastroenterologist, Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust
Dr Dipesh Vasant is a Consultant Gastroenterologist and Honorary Senior Lecturer at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. He runs a regional tertiary service for patients with complex refractory neurogastroenterology conditions and has a strong clinical and research interest in all aspects of neurogastroenterology and disorders of gut-brain interaction (DGBI). He is passionate about medical education and improving access to integrated MDT care for patients with refractory IBS. He is an author of the British Society of Gastroenterology (BSG) guidelines on IBS and functional dyspepsia, and an associate editor for the journal ‘Frontline Gastroenterology’. Dr Vasant sits on several national and international committees, including BSG Neurogastroenterology, the Pelvic Floor Society Executive Committee, Rome V biopsychosocial chapter committee and Rome Foundation Diet and Nutrition Research Group.
