Founder of We Are The Tree Community Interest Company
Manal is a refugee from Sudan, has a master’s degree in Gender and Development Studies, and second master’s degree in Psychology, and PhD in  Community Empowerment through Strategic Planning of Poverty Reduction.
Over the last  8 years Manal has shifted her career to collective trauma therapy and she is a certified coach and is now the founder of We Are The Tree CIC.
We Are The Tree is a refugee and migrant-led organisation, supporting the psycho-social wellbeing of refugees and migrants, builds their leadership skills, and facilitates community engagement and civic participation, enabling them to rebuild their lives in the UK with choice and dignity.
The organisation supports neurodivergent individuals, women and young refugees based in Sussex.
