

Dr Renu Jainer
Consultant in Community Paediatrics, University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust
Dr Renu Jainer is a Clinical Lead and Consultant Community Paediatrician based in Solihull, West Midlands. She also serves as the Designated Doctor for Looked After Children (LAC) and for Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
With over 20 years of experience in community paediatrics, she has developed particular expertise in ADHD and its comorbidities, including epilepsy, developmental coordination disorder, intellectual disabilities, and sleep disorders. She is committed to improving outcomes for this often under-recognised group of children.
Dr Jainer has contributed nationally through her work with the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (RCPCH), including serving as LAC representative to the Child Protection Committee, and contributing to NICE guideline development.
She is also a member of the RCPCH consultation panel for mental health and community child health, and has led service development initiatives, including prescribing pathways and system improvements.
