Emma Faulkner

Lead Nurse, West Midlands CAMHS Provider Collaborative, Birmingham Women and Children’s NHS Foundation Trust

Emma Faulkner is the Lead Nurse for Integrated Residential Outreach Care (IROC) within the West Midlands CAMHS Provider Collaborative, and a Mental Health Nurse at the Beacon Autism and ADHD Clinic, where she works alongside Professor Aurakzai.

She specialises in the assessment and diagnosis of children and adults with ADHD and autism and is trained in gold-standard diagnostic tools including the Autism Clinical Interview for Adults (ACIA), Autism Diagnostic Interview–Revised (ADI-R), and Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS). She is also accredited by the UK Adult ADHD Network (UKAAN). Emma has extensive experience supporting individuals with neurodevelopmental conditions and complex co-occurring difficulties.

Alongside her diagnostic work, Emma provides a range of post-diagnostic interventions. She is accredited in Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) and has a particular interest in complex trauma and foetal alcohol spectrum disorder, incorporating approaches such as Theraplay into her clinical practice.
