Learning Objectives

  • To improve the understanding of ADHD and co-occurring conditions and how they influence outcomes and care planning
  • To provide comprehensive, evidence-based insights into the assessment, management and treatment of children with neurodevelopmental disorders suffering from poor sleep
  • To explore the links between ADHD and substance misuse in children and young people and discuss evidence-based approaches to assessment, prevention and management
  • To increase the understanding of ADHD, how it can influence behaviour, decision making and risk taking in young people and explore the relationship between ADHD and involvement in the youth justice system
  • To explore how displacement, trauma, culture, language, and unfamiliarity with UK systems can affect how neurodivergent refugees experience healthcare and how they are understood by services, informed by lived experience
