Slenyto Treatment Algorithm for Insomnia in Children with ASD and / or Neurogenetic Disorders (NGD
This treatment decision algorithm allows healthcare professionals to personalise titration of Slenyto to optimal dose.
Treatment success is attained by achieving one or more of the following:
- total sleep time within the recommended range for the subject’s age
- sleep onset <30 minutes
- longest sleep episode >6 hours


LSE, Longest Sleep Episode; SOL, Sleep Onset Latency; TST, Total Sleep Time.
Treatment Success Criteria1
• TST within the recommended range for the subject’s age
– 10–13 hours for age 3– 5 years
– 9–11 hours for ages 6–13 years
– 8–10 hours for ages 14–17 years
• SOL <30 minutes
• LSE >6 hours
For some people an additional hour or two on either side of a given range may be appropriate.
TST within the following range may be appropriate for the subject’s age2
– 8–14 hours for age 3–5 years
– 7–12 hours for ages 6–13 years
– 7–11 hours for ages 14–17 years
