Meet the Speakers
Dr Rakieh is a Consultant and current National Institute and Care Research (NIHR) fellow in Metabolic Bone Disease. He has been the clinical lead of the Metabolic Bone Unit at Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital in Oswestry since 2020. He trained in Rheumatology at Manchester and Leeds University Hospitals undertaking his PhD at the University of Manchester in 2011 before completing his training programme in Leeds in 2015.
His research interest include obesity and fracture, assessment of bone quality, real world data, anabolic therapy in osteoporosis.
Dr Moulik qualified in medicine from Calcutta, India, in 1988. After completing his early training in India, he came to the UK in 1996. He trained in Diabetes and Endocrinology at Liverpool. He took up his post as Consultant in Diabetes and Endocrinology at Shrewsbury and Telford hospitals NHS Trust from January 2003.
His special interests in Diabetes are foot problems and insulin pump therapy. His special interests in Endocrinology are pituitary, thyroid, parathyroid and male hypogonadism. He has presented his scientific work in many national and international conferences.
