Dr Sangeeta Naraen
Consultant Ortho-Geriatrician, Aintree University Hospital, Liverpool University Hospitals Foundation Trust

Dr Naraen is a consultant Ortho-Geriatrician with Special Interest in Metabolic Bone Disease at Aintree University Hospital, Liverpool. She completed her MBBS in India and her specialty training was completed in both Mersey and Yorkshire areas. She joined Aintree University Hospital as a consultant in January 2014. As a lead Ortho-Geriatrician, she was involved in setting up the Ortho-Geriatric Service and streamlined the bone health service in this group of patients at Aintree University Hospital. After the merger in 2019 of Royal Liverpool Hospital and Aintree University Hospital, she was involved in setting up the Ortho-Geriatric and bone health service of a larger group of patients. She is closely involved in bone health on a day to day basis and also an advisor to silver trauma for the North West.

Consultant Physician with Special Interest in Metabolic Bone Diseases, Aintree University Hospital, Liverpool University Hospitals Foundation Trust

Dr Siddiqi is a consultant at Liverpool University Hospitals. He started the Metabolic Bone Disease Unit at Aintree University Hospital 20 years ago. This service now also includes a new Vertebral Fracture Service including vertebroplasty and Fracture Liaison Service. He has attended and presented at many regional, national and international meetings. His research interests include osteoporosis, Paget’s disease, osteogenesis imperfecta, vitamin D and vertebral fractures.
