After finishing Medicine in India, Dr Damodaran has worked within various subspecialties of Psychiatry in England. Core training in Psychiatry in England developed her interest in Neurodevelopmental conditions and she subsequently completed higher training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. She has worked as a Consultant in Paediatric Liaison Neuropsychiatry for over 6 years at Birmingham Children's Hospital, Birmingham Women's and Children's NHS Foundation Trust providing Neuropsychiatric input for children with Epilepsy, Tics, Tourette’s, Functional Neurological Disorders amongst others, promoting interface between mental and physical health in understanding and holistically treating, acute presentations to hospital.
