ADHD Clinical Nurse Specialist, Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust

Hayley Smith joined the Paediatric ADHD Service in Birmingham in December 2018. Prior to this Hayley worked as a Health Visitor for five years. She is currently involved in the assessment and treatment of children with ADHD aged 5-16 years. Her main role as a Clinical Nurse Specialist includes triaging referrals, providing information and support to parents, educational establishments, other healthcare professionals and participating in the assessment processes for ADHD as well as initiating and monitoring treatment. She recently completed her non-medical prescribing course in May 2021.

Consultant Community Paediatrician, Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust

Dr Neeta Kulkarni is a Consultant Community Paediatrician with over 14 years of experience in managing children with neurodevelopmental disorders. She was a Local Principal Investigator for two multicentre trials using an objective test for assessing ADHD. She subsequently led the clinical implementation of this test in Leicestershire Partnership Trust which is now included in the ADHD pathway. She was lead for 2 East Midlands Academic Health Science Network projects related to the use of this objective test for ADHD.
