Meet the Speakers

Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist and Clinical Lead, Neurodevelopmental Service, Cwm Taf Morgannwg Health Board

Dr Sunil Pulapaka is an experienced Consultant Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist with 16 years experience in CAMHS. He has been a Member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists since 2005, completing his certificate of training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry from Greater Glasgow and Clyde and Lanarkshire NHS Trusts.
Working within child and adolescent services he has gained considerable experience in the identification, assessment, and treatment of numerous disorders, including anxiety, depression, OCD, eating disorders and early onset psychosis, as well as attachment and post-traumatic stress disorders and foetal alcohol syndrome. Dr Pulapaka is clinical lead for the neurodevelopmental service, and is responsible for the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of neurodevelopmental conditions (including ADHD, tic disorders, and ASD). He is trained in 3DI, DISCO and ADOS tools for assessment of ASD.
Dr Pulapaka is a regional advisor for RCPsych CAP faculty, Wales, CASC Examiner for Royal College of Psychiatry, PLAB examiner for the GMC and recruitment lead and educational supervisor for Health Education and Improvement Wales.
