Welcome to our NDD Community

A resource centre for healthcare professionals working in neurodevelopmental disorders such as Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and learning disabilities

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD): Flynn has been directly involved in the field of ADHD for over ten years. During this time we have sought to raise awareness of the condition and its impact on the individual, with the aim of bringing about positive change to those whose lives are affected by the diagnosis.

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD): We work with leading experts in the field to design meeting programmes that explore key issues in ASD whilst offering practical tips and training that are applicable for use in the real world.

Smith-Magenis Syndrome (SMS): Flynn has collaborated with clinicians and leaders working within the NHS and elsewhere to create a range of healthcare professional and patient-focussed resources to support the patient journey.

'ART' - The ADHD Referral Toolkit

‘ART’ – the ADHD Referral Toolkit - is a primary care toolkit designed to improve the quality of ADHD referrals to secondary care. This resource is available to all UK primary care clinicians. In this video Dr Jeremy Mudunkotuwe, Consultant Psychiatrist, Surrey and Borders NHS Foundation Trust and Dr Nina Champaneri, Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist, in the Forward-Thinking Birmingham Crisis and Home Treatment Team provide information on the tool’s availability and its applicability for primary care.

ART is a bespoke EMIS and SystmOne protocol which helps primary care clinicians to:

  • assess patients who present with the symptoms of ADHD
  • decide if the patient should be referred for further assessment by a specialist
  • generate a referral letter by automatically collating key information into a letter template

This video gives an overview of the referral toolkit and outlines the benefits of it to both the NHS and the patient.

ART is provided as a service to medicine by Flynn Pharma Ltd.
